In Nissan of 5740, the Rebbe started the “V’hashev Lev Avos Al Bonim” initiative where the goal was to inspire and teach a child and thereby teach his parents and extended family. Over the course of the year, the Rebbe began many new initiatives in this style.

On Rosh Chodesh Sivan 5740, the Rebbe said a Sicha requesting to bring children to Shul on Shavuos to hear the Aseres Hadibros: “That every Shul should be full on the Yom Tov of Shavuos during Krias Hatorah - with children.”

The Shabbos before Shavuos, Parshas Bamidbar, the Rebbe spoke more about the new Mivtza, addressing some opposition as to what the point is in bringing such a young child to Shul.

On Gimmel Sivan 5740, the Rebbe spoke to a group of children and once again used the opportunity to discuss the new initiative of coming to Shul to hear the Aseres Hadibros, speaking very strongly about how the Children are our Guarantors.

On Erev Chag Hashovuos the Rebbe again spoke about the power of children and the importance of bringing them to hear the Aseres Hadibros on Yom Tov.
